Stocks went up as unemployment went down. Stocks soared last week as unemployment claims went down by 13,000. Another reason for the soaring stocks and low unemployment is that inflation is slowly declining.

In late morning trading, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 21.30, or 0.2 percent, to 10,855.03.
Broader stock indicators also were higher. The Standard & Poor's 500 index added 1.76, or 0.14 percent, to 1,264.55, and the Nasdaq composite index gained 3.48, or 0.16 percent, to 2,235.14
